In a small village in the north of Extremadura lies this old stone house which is accessed through a narrow facade. Historically, due to the local tradition of visiting Spas a housing typology was born. This typology is characterized by narrow and deep dwellings connected by long corridors hosting visitors in alcoves. The project transforms this typology into a second family home generating a large internal double height space naturally lit from a roof light. This open space distributes the daytime uses to the rear whilst leaving all bedrooms linked to the main facade.
