The project aims to rehabilitate an old brick mortuary building and turn it into a cultural centre for the neighbourhood. All the efforts lie on recovering the main lobby and the large central courtyard and convert them into the focal point of an intense urban activity. Structurally, it is necessary to clear the original building from all past interventions to restore the original structure. Restoration works for the brick facades and interior walls were particularly delicate due to poor state of the building.
